RMweb Premium Martino Posted August 10, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 10, 2011 When I first started the garden railway, I bought some very cheap LGB stuff of eBay amongst which was a very European style box van.Like this,,, Banana Van.tiff Nothing lasts long in original condition around here, so it received a quick paint to make it look slightly more British. Not content with that, the coffee stirrers came out.... With a bit more work, wire and GRS transfers I have a narrow gauge, GW style Toad that looks the part from 4' away! James Hilton Posted August 26, 2011 Share Posted August 26, 2011 I remember seeing this on G-scale Central ages ago - it looks very effective and although not mm perfect, it captures the feel of a Toad nicely I'm currently modifying a banana van into an Austrian goods/brake/parcel van!
