Briggs 20 Ton tar wagon

The wagon, No202 built by Hurst Nelson of Motherwell in 1955 for William Briggs & sons Ltd Camperdown Refinery Dundee.post-11150-0-97594100-1313589187_thumb.jpg

The tar wagon was donated to the Fife Railway Preservation Society (now the KFRPS) in the late 70`s and was on the Lochty railway until it closed.

The Briggs tar wagon is due for a repair/repaint later this year, I will post photo`s of the finished article when it`s done.

I knew that this former Briggs tank wagon was preserved but until now was not aware by where it was located. I am hoping to build a couple of these wagons in 4mm scale but require two basic dimensions - tank diameter and tank length - plus a photograph of the equipment on the top of the tank. Hope you can help with this. Thanks
