Il Grifone
I'm half way through* building one of these at the moment (it's been in stock for a long time.....). There was definitely an issue with the side/solebar/underframe units being too far apart. I can't remember whether I solved the problem by padding out the bearings or using long axles** (probably the former). In any case, I have an old Nucro springing unit in the 'wheels' box, reserved for just such an eventuality. (The last one went under a K's PALBRICK). * The body and underframe is assembled and fitted with wheels. Brakegear, buffers, couplings, paint and transfers to go.... ** I have some axles that I have pinpointed using a drill and a file. This inevitably results in odd lengths.....
