Me, Mrs-to-be Seagull and Youngling will be attending on Sunday as well.

Exceptionally busy weekend planned - Football Saturday (Hailsham Town v Bexhill Utd in the Division Two Cup with free entry to any rmwebber who cares to let me know beforehand!), Hailsham Bonfire on Saturday evening, Grand Prix at stupid o clock Sunday morning, then Nash Street Boot sale, then the Uckfield show.

Also to be fitted in is a trip to Tesco, a football club Commercial sub-committee meeting, tackling a triffid-like Achillea in the rockery and working out how to use an electric staple gun in order to fix the lining to a planter what I did build. Looking forward to it - but equally looking forward to sitting down with a big mug of coffee to Downton Abbey come 9pm Sunday!

No long back from this show. Having struggled a bit to get there last year yet enjoyed that show I felt it would be worthwhile to try to find it again this year.

The journey is sheer torture. The insanity of the M3-M25-M23 followed by the muddled roads of north Sussex at a speed restricted 30mph. I hope the cameras were in action on the M23 roadwork section and caught out the idiot who overtook me on the inside and many others at what must have been at least 70 in the 50mph section - I know it is average - but he nearly cause at least 3 other cars to take evasive action. I suppose he had left it too late get to Gatwick and use the runway.

The show was still worth the effort, a bit warm in the halls (like last year) but somehow seemed less crowded.

Some real gems of layouts. Though I have seen most of them before they were worth another look.

Trade was not terribly inspirational, but then I suppose I wasn't really there with a shopping list. Kevin Robinson was positioned on an unavoidable corner and his welcoming smile and rubbing of hands managed to release a flock of moths from my wallet - and when I counted them back in, a few had gone missing.

The nearby Tesco car park makes this a very accessible show.

No photos, sorry.

Just got home after clearing out the venue, we had a good show as far as I could tell (all the punters and stands I spoke to were happy). It was nice to put faces to names from here (Ullypug, Dseagull, ColinW, Eldavo and PhilH). Some time in the next few days Adrian will be updating the website with a retrospective of the show.

It was a good show again from the Uckfield club. Nice to meet and talk with Kevin Walsh, Matthew Cousins and Ullypug. Some layouts I had seen before, but a couple of them were the first time and it was good to see them.

Sitting at home with a cold bottle of Quantock Ale after a very smooth and hassle free journey home. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and a big thank you to all at the Uckfield club for their hospitality. Really good to meet some fellow RM Webbers and other layout operators too.

Those of you who didn't go missed a wonderful little show. Haven't enjoyed one as much for ages. Despite the rave in the house next to the B&B. Think elephant with flatulence and multiply the sound tenfold and you're somewhere in the locality.

A very enjoyable show with a good range of top notch layouts. Seemed like a good number of punters on both days so hopefully a success for the club. Now all I have to do is summon up the energy to unload the car!

Cheers

Dave

Thanks Adrian

Looks like it was a great show....am sorry that I missed it this year...I much prefer to see less quantity, but better quality layouts...and for me Uckfield always has this.

If Diesels in the Duchy is on for next years show, then I shall be booking my flight tickets early 2012!
