For Speedlink workings class 45/0 is what you should probably be looking for. On the WR they regularly worked the Severn Tunnel Junction to St Blazey services, and also sometimes appeared on STJ to Eastleigh workings. Bath Road had an allocation of class 46 locos in the 1970s, but I think they had been transferred away before the Speedlink Network, which was launched in September 1977. The Laira allocation of class 46s lasted until late in 1980 when the survivors were transferred to Gateshead.
