Now I'm intrigued.
Didn't see the misinformation before you deleted it.

...............   I was going to post a picture of a recent Limited Edition model of Salisbury Signal Box   ................................................   except, it was Truro!!

Dropped by the Basingstoke show yesterday to have a close look at Tidworth and get some inspiration.

I resisted temptation and didn't buy anything.

Some good layouts on show and worth the visit.

If you need anything specific, I may be able to go and get some.

i was just playing with an idea that the yard had stayed open to traffic even though the station had shut to passengers.

in reality the station reopened to passengers after the period i'm trying to set my layout and i doubt the yard would of had that much traffic if any around 1987.

what im really looking for is small yards to get an idea of their layout.

it's all because ive been reading this thread http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/29668-building-a-southern-region-layout/page-7

and trying to work out what it would have looked like in the 1980s

obsessing about my coaches at the moment and trying to make up a believable rake for a Waterloo to Exeter service.

Waterloo - Exeter rakes were 3 TSO, 2 BFK, TSOT, 3 TSO

at the moment I think I have enough coaches but I need to renumber a few of them as i have several duplicates.

And 2 more BFKs on the way.

Another Bachmann in Blue/grey and a Hornby in NSE.

Got a bit carried away the other day on an auction site, I didn't expect to win with the low bids I put in!

Got enough BFKs now for 3 trains, just need to try and get some TSOs at a reasonable price!

That's gutting I just sold 4 NSE TSO's, 3 Hornby, 1 Lima. You would have been more than welcome to them. They were surplus to requirements on PDW so I got shot of them. I'll let you know if I decide to get rid of anything else as there could be some wagons. I'm just trying to work out how brutal I'm going to be.

Cheers

Marcus

Collected 3 more coaches from the sorting office this morning. :)

Once I've finished today's DIY I might even get round to unwrapping them properly and giving them a quick run.
