mozzer models
I will be building a Festiniog Railway 0-4-0 Loco 'Prince' & Tender to run with my F&WHR Peco rolling stock The chassis is a Fleischmann Piccolo 7000 I cut out the door & solded the end & 2 sides together I then removed some of the plastic from the front Fleischmann Piccolo 7000 chassis As well as the front buffer I hav left the ones on the back of the chassi in place 2016-02-21_01-31-50 by brian mosby, on Flickr I then removed some of the casting from the front footplate so the loco's body will sit low on the chassis IMG_20160221_114030 by brian mosby, on Flickr I then solded this to the body & filled the hole left under were the sand pots go with a scrap piece of white metal & flooded with solder IMG_20160221_114657 by brian mosby, on Flickr I then worked on the cob foot plate removing a lot of it all the way back so the hole to mount the coupling was just gone IMG_20160221_115903 by brian mosby, on Flickr & solded in place IMG_20160221_120416 by brian mosby, on Flickr Now with the body fitted to the chassis the bottom of the smokebox sits on the step on the plastic part of the chassis & the back buffers of the chassis sit under the floor IMG_20160221_120457 by brian mosby, on Flickr I then added a large scrap piece of white metal in to the smokebox so I can screw the chassis to the body IMG_20160221_123137 by brian mosby, on Flickr the loco is now ready for painting the holes for the sand pots have been drilled these & the front vac pipe will be fitted once the painting is done IMG_20160221_123243 by brian mosby, on Flickr As to the tender I am using a Minitrains F&C coach bogie that I have spare from a F&C 0-4-0 tender I have to hand the wheel base is the same & look almost right 2016-02-21_01-53-00 by brian mosby, on Flickr loco with the masking taken off still need to hand paint the black edges on the loco fit the smokebox dart & paint the chassis need to get some handrail knobs so I can add handrails & fit some couplings 2016-02-22_10-29-38 by brian mosby, on Flickr & here's some quick photos of the loco as it is now still need the handrails IMG_20160222_125100 by brian mosby, on Flickr IMG_20160222_125117 by brian mosby, on Flickr last lot of photos till I add handrails looking at the photos the body is not siting on the chassis properly I have now put this right IMG_20160222_133714 by brian mosby, on Flickr IMG_20160222_133841 by brian mosby, on Flickr IMG_20160222_133950 by brian mosby, on Flickr IMG_20160222_133851 by brian mosby, on Flickr IMG_20160222_134015 by brian mosby, on Flickr

cctransuk
that looks bigger that my oo9 one It is OO9 - FR body kit, (I think); same chassis that you've used; probably replacement larger driving wheels; round section marine-type coupling rods from hard copper wire, flattened at each end to form the bearings. The chopper couplings are the old functional Greenwich ones, that had the choppers stamped from steel beer cans ! Regards, John Isherwood.
