132
Hi, I need to get some parts made from a CAD file. Im not sure if they can be cut out by a company or printed. I have made some of these parts myself but for the amount I need produced it will take too long. The largest parts are roughly not much bigger than 25mm by 25mm. I need these to be cut in 0.5mm plastic/styrene. I have attached this picture as an example of the parts shape. 2 Euro coin is for reference of size but if someone can make me money at a good price let me know also Thanks for any help. Highlandman
Depending on how many items you want of each part you could try contacting York Modelmaking. They can make bespoke parts for models by laser cutting and have produce parts for some very good models including Bristol Barrow Road by barrowroad. I have used some of their fine laser cut windows and was very pleased with them. No connection other than a satisfied customer.

132
Any other good companys for this work?
craigwelsh
You'll have to google laser cutting services. Most wont be geared for model railways like York Modelmaking are though and will probably work out more expensive.
billbedford
If you can draw the outlines yourself you can use Ponoko, but be warned not many lasercutters like using styrene.
Sallydog
Polystyrene, when laser cut gives off an acidic vapour which attacks the internal componants of the cutter. Alternative plastics are available but they are not so easy to join together. Try 3DCD he might be able to help Sallydog
Tommy
Hi, If you didn't get sorted I have a cnc driven router table that could cut your parts quite easily. I use conventional endmill cutters not a laser so heat is not a problem. Let me know if I can be of help. Tommy
