Say you want £100 for a loco. Someone will offer £80-£60 maybe. Price it at £150, and you'll get offers in the region of what you want. The buyer thinks they've got a bargain, the seller gets what they wanted. Or just do what I did. Put it up as buy it now and wait. But then some people can't wait.

If he can get a collector to pay that for it, good luck to him. The red lettering is indeed a little rare but not £109 rare. Plus, if they stay true to their word of posting 2nd Class, that's inviting a "not turned up" claim - especially at that price. The seller has priced all their items on the high side though.

I've done that when something I thought wasn't worth very much sold for rather more than I had expected. 1

No, I'm not going to try it, I still haven't done anything with my Fireless loco consisting of a couple of Dapol kits (pug and oil tanker) and a back to front 101 chassis, and at least I have the parts for that to hand... You will have the grammar police after you with that miss spelling of Bridgnorth. In some circles it can lead to excommunication. Others will tell you the e was dropped in the mid 19th century so is historically correct if not for the current period. 2 1 1
