Rolls on track quite well but there is a tight spot. Don't think its insulated, reading across dead track with a multimeter shows 1.6 ohms resistance. Reliably told pro-built. Unboxed" Yours for £200.00. Better play it safe and say: "That's lovely. Sounds like a bargain to me!" 2

I'm curious as to why someone went to a fair bit of time and trouble to do a reasonably nice build, and then didn't put a motor in it. 2

Worthless to most but just possible the thing someone might want. Price is obviously a fishing expedition but if it were something I was interested in I'd offer what it was worth to me and see where it went. 1 3

Possibly built as a display case model? Less bother not to pay attention to insulation or install a motor, and decorate fully on one side only. It'd be ok for 3-rail!

That'd be my guess, but the builder seems to have sprung for nice wheels, for example, so bunging a motor in "just in case" wouldn't have been that big a step.

Something is not quite right with that, as the blue Triang Hornby Coronation did not have plated tyres on its wheels, the red King George VI did. They used the same chassis as the Flying Scotsman.
