Bodge together a Nellie body and a 101 chassis, and leave the cylinders on!

A much "better" loose resemblance....

No, I'm not going to try it, I still haven't done anything with my Fireless loco consisting of a couple of Dapol kits (pug and oil tanker) and a back to front 101 chassis, and at least I have the parts for that to hand...

But I'll write it up in the Projects binder!

Written up.

Being good.

Not looking for Nellies.

Honest!

A "train set in a tin" plus Dapol pug, add plasticard equals big grin......

Now I’m the first to admit that my GWR knowledge is not as sharp as it can be, but I’m pretty sure that this isn’t a King :sarcastic: any guesses as to what it actually is though?

Ok, got that out of my system...

Its a genuine Graham Farish loco, but rather than a King its a GF GP5 or, their effort at a Black 5.

Here's another

A bit more expensive, should you want such a lump, because its claimed to be working...

A friend of mine has recently sold a clean and working unboxed example for £50 on eBay after years of carting it round fairs and swapmeets at £35 ono. He was quite happy about that.

It seems that there isn't much demand for them.

Apparently it's from Bridgenorth... are the SVR carrying out a sell off of odds and ends?

You will have the grammar police after you with that miss spelling of Bridgnorth. In some circles it can lead to excommunication. Others will tell you the e was dropped in the mid 19th century so is historically correct if not for the current period.

How much of Ratio’s production was undertaken in West Germany?

The “superstructure” beneath the damaged plastic base looks to be made of cardboard.

Cheers

I don't particularly care if it was made in Uzbekistan, I think that you'll agree that it's bin fodder.

Misdescribed as well as garbage.

I did notice “Ratio” in the item description, but it was clear to me that the seller’s descriptive powers were somewhat lacking and the “Made in W Germany” stamp in the photo was something of a clincher in that respect.

Then surely it would be a bridge, rather than some decayed hut?

It doesn't look like a ship....
