So they're Hammant and Morgan, but home made,

and they're not sure who the maker is?????

Perhaps it was built by Hammant and Morgan as an early prototype for the Duette.  ;)

I fear, if Mr Hammant or Mr Morgan were alive today they would have a fit.

As my phone is an inside cylinder 4-4-0, I can't copy the link onto here.

But if someone else would like to post up item number: 224009219450

And add suitable expletives

It should get a (really not at all cheap) laugh.

£110 for a Dapol open wagon. Limited edition blah blah. There are others on ebay for £15

And he wants £6 post!

It's a rake of 8 though.

8 x £15 = £120

Should be in the Bargain Thread methinks.

all Proceeds towards the restoration of a bagnall loco at worksworth too

EDIT: posted the same time as Damo666

I find it confusing when the main photo doesn't show the complete lot.  Obviously in this case the seller thought a detail on the wagon was important.

Perhaps he couldn't face posting the same photo eight times?

Hm, my fault. But it isn't particularly clear what he is selling, particularly if you're using the mobile version if ebay. Lazy photography. How much effort would it take to create a photo of what is actually on offer?

As in how many potential buyers will scroll past it?

I'm not totally sure how eBay works, but it looks like the seller accepted a 'Best Offer'.

Is this saying that it was sold within 10 minutes of the item going on-line?

Does staying up until 4:30am to place a winning bid on a U.S. listing for an obscure French driving trailer count as a form of eBay madness?

In my defence:

1) I got it for about half the price they usually go for

2) It's, er, eye-catching...

I think he uses fiction in his listings to let them show up in popular searches. I was looking for H&M switch panels and found this monstrosity.

Something I find hard to swallow is his 100% positive feedback.

It's one of the bugs in the ebay system - if the auction start price is £20 and includes 'best offer', someone makes such an offer and the seller accepts, it's shown as sold at the start price, not the actual price paid. So in this case someone may well have offered, say, £60 (still a bargain but not off the scale), seller thinks 'that'll do' and accepts, and this is the result that shows up.
