Can somebody direct me to a book (or website) that shows close-ups of the Bulleid tavern car inn signs?

Aug 1992 Railway Modeller carried a review.

 

MRC Jan-71 carries a Scale Drawing BR Tavern car sets Fielding, R H

Signage available from Markits now.

There are a couple of photos in King that are fairly clear (including one close up), albeit in black & white. But somewhere I have seen a photoset of all of the signs, but am wracking my brains to think where, possibly in a Railway Magazine of the period?

There was an Oakwood press book covering Bulleid Coaches, and I feel sure I saw images of the signs in there

If you mean the Gould book I've just checked it (1980) and no sign (sorry).

There was a slightly enlarged version published in 1994. No idea whether they are in that.

 

Must surely be time for a reprint.

Not sure how many or which ones were available.

I agree with Phil H in as far as "someone" did some self-adhesive tavern car signs, but I cannot remember who.

I also know that at least some of the signs have appeared in a publication, but I can't remember which that was either.

I know: fat lot of help that is! It does mean that somewhere along the line, one of us may come up with something useful when we are browsing our books or websites looking for something completely unrelated.

Markits did them. I think Southern Pride did as well as part of the pre printed kits.
