Lineside relay cabinets

Also Loc cases are used to mount relay in and around signalboxes. They can also house power supplies (transformers).

Also don't forget the little boxes that the t/c tails are connected to, usually 6" square boxes in the cess at the end of the t/c.

And while we're on the subject of lineside boxes, don't forget the point heater control cabinet (with supply cubicle just off railway property) and transformers by every point end.

Or gas bottles depending on era

Not necessarily era. There are still gas points heating sites in and around Cambridge, odd bits of Wales, Gloucestershire / Worcestershire and Plymouth.

Good afternoon,

Sorry to kick this thread back into life.  I'm looking to do these in 7mm. This is a clip from an excellent Ian D Nolan flickr picture

Has anyone any information?

Thanks

Ernie

They look very much like the Westinghouse relay cases that are still in widespread use on LU
