Had a very enjoyable day at Barrow Hill today, for the 'rarities' weekend.

Looks like its recently had some new stickers applied, different on both sides too !

Cheers,

Phil.

I had a visit up to Peak Forest for first time in a year today and got 3 60's which was nice.

60044 stabled on the refuelling point, 60074 in the yard and 60079 was working 6F05 Tunstead sidings to Lostock works.

I'm not about for the logs Tuesday-Wednesday, but may make it back for Thursday. Here's hoping it heads south then.

Cheers,

Mick

Sure is, dont think it will be on the logs on monday but MAY venture out on it tuesday

Im gutted as my job wednesday means i cant do the course!

And it did venture out on Tuesday, keeping 66859 company as far as Hellifield with 6J37, 12:58 Carlisle Yard to Chirk.

60002 and 66859 on 6J37 approaching Long Preston.  Looks crowded in the cab.

And sitting in the Up Goods Loop at Hellifield while 60002 is uncoupled.

60002 then heads back to Carlisle with 0Z60.

I was going to put the tug on the down loop but couldn't get the points over so I had to send it back early instead of holding it

In clear morning sunshine in Elland on 27th April 2015, 60087 rumbles eastwards with 6E32, 08:48 Colas Ribble Rail (aka Preston Docks) to Lindsey Oil Refinery discharged bitumen tanks.

A few from today at Toton.

There were 3 Colas 60's on site ( 021, 085, 096 ) as well as the one being overhauled, which I guess is one of theirs!

59203 and 90004 are in the background of 60024.

First time I've noticed a HTA with an extended gold panel, in front of 60040.

I think this is 60076. Well at least it brightens up a very dull day as it approaches Winterbourne Viaduct with yesterday's Tilbury - Llanwern freight.

Yes, Peter.  60076 was listed as working 6V62, 11:12 Tilbury Riverside to Llanwern Exchange Sidings on 2nd May 2015.
