SWT442
I've just noticed this post .. DAS622222.jpg I'm on your picture, I'm looking back at the 60 - photographing it "going away" and all the tanks - alongside the green aspect, I was the fool person with only a t-shirt on, no jacket. And I've just noticed this post. I remember you, we must have been stood near to each other on the bridge! I was the geezer with the long hair. Snap! There'd been a few days of spotting beforehand, so here's the rest of the Class 60's we got. First up, 60100 storms through Clay Mills working 6E54 Kingsbury to Humber Oil Refinery discharged tanks. 29.05.2015 Seen at Catholme, 60024 "Clitheroe Castle" works 6E41 Westerleigh to Lindsey Oil Refinery. 29.05.2015 Not long after, 60059 "Swinden Dalesman" flies through with 6E08 Wolverhampton to Masborough. 29.05.2015 And finally, 60010 heads through Burton-on-Trent hauling 6E54 Kingsbury to Humber Oil Refinery. 30.05.2015 Andy. Iron Horse
Not as clear as I would really like but the light isn't being kind to me this year and being the wrong side of 21st June it's not going to get any better, however approaching Willaston Crossing (Near Crewe) just past 21:00 tonight is 60085 on the 15:24 Baglan Bay - Chrik logs. I should have perhaps just upped the ISO a tad more, the shot I got about 0.5 seconds earlier is a bit clearer but a little too far away with my 50mm lens combined with the good speed the 60 seemed to be making. Very fine line dusk photography isn't it!!!!! Loco and livery still look fab though don't they........ RMweb Gold big jim Posted July 14, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 14, 2015 And the fact i was doing 55mph past you probably didnt help! Alcanman
Amazing co-incidence, Phil - the first pic is almost identical to the one that I was looking at in Rail Modeller Express, including the DBS liveried 60! Thanks, Mal

eastwestdivide
Now you see it, now you don't, and lucky with the shutter release timing, especially on my phone. An afternoon working back to the Peak District quarries passes the site of Rotherham Road station and the foot of the Low Stubbin incline (further bridge), earlier this year.
