A couple of shots of DBS Tugs taken during a visit to the East Midlands last week:

60011 passing Barnetby East box with the 11.38 Immingham - Santon iron ore 9 October (the signal box is wonky here, not the photo!)

60040 crosses the River Trent at Sawley on the Sheet Stores Jn - Stenson Jn line with 6M57, the 07.05 Lindsey - Kingsbury Tanks on 10 October.

Evening,

After hearing all the banter on facebook about the is it or isn't it on it, I though I'd go for it anyway it will either be a grid or a tug and so 60076 Colas Rail Freight showed up at Crewe Station on 6S96 Sinfin Sidings to Grangemouth Ineos empty Aviation fuel tanks. This is the second one that I've managed to photograph the other being 60087 at IEMD.

Went to the National Arboretum earlier this week. What a thought provoking and fitting tribute to the people it represents.

The habit of 'see a train, point a camera at it' came into play a couple of times.

Cheers,

Phil.

A day out at Barnetby yesterday yielded one or two shots I was happy enough with.  Never seen it so crowded with other photographers though!

Sadly, the sun went in for this one, but it still works.  60059 on 6M00 Humber to Kingsbury, taken using the pole...

Over the weekend I found a few photos from the early 90s of sector class 60s in action.

Not sure of the location but somewhere on the Great Western mainline

That's just east of Twyford station; the train is on the up relief line. The signal you can see at the rear of the train (R112 if my memory is correct) has a junction indicator for the route onto the up relief, from where the Henley-on-Thames branch can be accessed.

Judging by the look of the train, it's most likely a Waterston to Colnbrook.
