RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted March 10, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 10, 2016 I do hope not, it's the only interesting stuff DB has. Didn't they just spend circa £800k on each engine overhauling them as well ? Apparently / allegedly they are suffering some of the issues they had before they became super tugs. RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted March 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 16, 2016 Having spent a couple of hours at Barnetby I moved to Knabbs bridge (even though there were only 2 other spotters on the station, 1 of them kept getting in the way !) RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted March 16, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 16, 2016 For info. Double 66s are allox on the LOR/Kingsbury later. (Thanks to DW) They left Lindsey a few early 75 mins ago and appear to have stopped on the main line between Humber and Ulceby - another success then 130 late passing Ulceby Edit. It was 60066 which failed - the 66s went off on other traffic. 60020 rescued the train - possibly double headed 60 on this and the return tomorrow.

cornish trains jez
Here's one from me taken at Grantham on Tuesday 12th April 2016. Having arrived from the North, 60056 had run around its train of TEA tanks and had just re-attached itself to the train ready to continue its onward journey to Lindsey Oil Refinery forming the 673A. Cheers, Mick Thanks for the info on the cement train. I forgot to check wether it turned left or right at the south end of the King Edward Bridge! Has the working recently been taken over by Colas? Up until a few weeks ago the Seaham Harbour train was usually a Freightliner 66. 60095 at Carlisle on the 17th March. Alan
RMweb Gold big jim Posted April 20, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 20, 2016 (edited) 60001 looks to have expired at burton on Trent yesterday (Tuesday) on a tanker train blocking the mainline, everything including passenger trains were having to leave burton Via the goods loop to get past it, one for the red pen brigade! EDIT: rescued after standing for 4 hours by 60002 from Toton https://flic.kr/p/FZZvB7 (not my pic) Edited April 20, 2016 by big jim

Jamesb
A few from my photo archives.. A brand spanking new 60 011 at Buxton, circa 1989 (?) 60 030 at Peak Forest, 2006 ish. One of them is definitely 054...Peak Forest again, 2006 ish Busy times at Peak Forest! Receiving the token for the single line at Great Rocks Jnc. 60 019. Token onboard and off it goes. One for the weathering fans. 60 027 at Buxton URS.
Jamesb
A few more...Thanks for all the positive ratings. Enjoy! 'If you go down to the woods today...'. 60 020 at Latchford. Blue skies above 60 015 as we wait time at Latchford MSC sidings. I didn't record the number, but probably either 062 or 063 with empty wagons at Latchford Loaded trains used the 'football field' or MSC sidings to run round as they are pretty much level, with empties using 'the old line' or 'the bank'. This was the stub of the former CLC line to Skelton Jnc and beyond. Another night time shot. This time its 60 020 again, at Walton MSC with the chemical plant providing the background. Now its 063's turn to pose at night. Waiting to come off Arpley for Liverpool bulk terminal, which means it's probably the first service of the week, early hours of Monday morning. (The LBT-Fiddlers trains didn't run on a Sunday). And finally its 017's turn for the limelight (or should it be moonlight?). We've just arrived at the LBT and stopped at Strand Road cabin. If the loading bunker wasn't fully charged or there was another train under the bunker, we'd wait here and share a brew with the PIC (person in charge), the flies and the resident mice...
