And a late catch with filling in stuff........... WCRC 33207 is in the process of final finishing when I noticed that it doesn't actually have any cab tail lights - other than the red blinds..................... Further photo research seems to have at least one end (No1) of them removed as early as 1991. https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=33207 worksop I shall have to fill them in and touch up the yellow. 6 1
RMweb Premium newbryford Posted August 14, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted August 14, 2019 The initial set of decals have arrived for the HRAs. They are quite superb. A minor tweak and that's me kept busy for a few hours as pretty much every mark on the wagon is covered. Limited pics later as I'm writing them up for a magazine. Cheers, Mick

Cheers, Mick If the decals are anything like the ones I used for a DB liveried HTA, it's worth the effort of adding all the tiny details, it really brings the model to life, instead of looking like a big (or in your case, slightly smaller ) red box ! Note that the one front and centre is the original prototype with the door operating instructions on a white panel and no UIC number on the top panel. Just a bit more paint detailing to be done. RMweb Premium Popular Post newbryford Posted September 8, 2019 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 8, 2019 Phew- some 900 plus individually applied decals later. 7 need a couple of paint details, two need buffers at one end and that's pretty much it. Some of the wagons will receive weathering on the bogies as not all were refurbished/repainted when the cut n shut was done. Wigan in a few weeks should be their first "revenue" service. RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted September 9, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 9, 2019 Great job Mick. I’m looking forward to seeing them at some point. I tend to flit from one project to another so god knows when mine will be completed. 1

Hi Clive, Former HTA coal hoppers - shortened by removing a section. Now used for aggregates. https://forwardermagazine.com/moving-more-more-efficiently-db-cargo-uk-introduces-new-hra-aggregate-hopper-wagon/ Cut n shut in the best traditions of Sheffield Exchange..... RMweb Premium newbryford Posted January 17, 2020 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 17, 2020 A bit of a winter lull, but I'll soon be posting pics of my weathered/graffiti Accurascale PCAs - hoping to have them ready for Stafford in a couple of weeks. Along with a couple of Flangeway ploughs. Next up (planned - but no doubt other stuff will get in the way) NMT to finish. MENTOR and ex-Caledonian BUOs are on the agenda after that. The BUO looks a relatively simple cut n shut/fill windows with a TSO and bits of a BSO. Cheers, Mick
leopardml2341
I do believe I have loads of detail shots of BUO cars Mick. Also, week before last, one was out and about in an otherwise yellow train. My office is just too far from the line to read the numbers unfortunately. Wild Boar Fell
Look forward to seeing the BUO conversion, they've certainly been very visible at the RTC. Some pretty sizeable receptacles have been fitted to them too. One was in the rake with the 'dustbin' on Friday IIRC. Reminds me I still have a pair to finish (started with a Mk2e before Hornby announced a Mk2f). Kind Regards, Wild Boar Fell
Swifty11
Likely see more of them coming into traffic, they're fitted with CET toilets which is the reason for their introduction.

Believe so, they're on hire from Eastern Rail Services based up at Weardale so I'm not sure whether they'll receive the standard yellow paint. Few rumours floating about that they'll be getting shut of the hired portobrook barrier type vehicles but there's still some kicking about. Ones currently in PLPR4.
