I'm not sure I care about actually owning one at the moment, I'm still happy to send it away. I'd fully expect lots of small outfits to pop up (a bit like photo developing used to be). Etched Pixels Posted March 13, 2012 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Its getting there but the best of the home machines are not vastly better than Shapeways FUD and they can't do polishing yet. There are some really interesting experiments going on with things like print/cnc (polish and cut as you go) as well as some fascinating materials in use for home printing - including sugar, chocolate and cheese !
