Here's a couple of good basic instruction vieos on how to use it.

Thanks for the link to those videos. I have been looking for something like that for some time. Evening classes in metalwork in this part of the world seem to be extinct and I have therefore been learning by trial and error - which sort of works, but can be frustrating!

Hi Natalie

 

Great project. I used to work for Joseph Smith & Sons (Jewelers) in Birmingham way back in the early eighties and was always fascinated by the jobbers skills. Modelers can learn an awful lot from the techniques used by jewelers and I'd like to see a lot more tutorials regarding the methods and tools used. Love the pic of your cat by the way - ours is often found curled up among my trains, layouts etc.
