Don't know if this has been on before, am assuming it's kosher and not pshopped.

I may be wrong, but when I clicked on the link to the Facebook Group in Long Island Jack's post, the picture that came up as the banner for the Facebook Group looked to me like the same train in the post by PhilH (having dropped off a 2nd box car at some point - at first I thought it might be the CN one in the photo on RMweb but on closer inspection - bigger screen - I don't think it is).

Interesting track on right, looks like dual gauge.

Or is it gauntlet (gantlet) as the rails appear to converge at the top of the hill?

Claremont and Concord - great little interurban. Shame that most of the tracks are gone now.

Could the odd layout of the track on the right be related to the grade? Or maybe even power related - a lot of the line was run by electric power at one point, I believe.

I'm on a different computer now and still can't see it in your original post but I can see half a sentence* in blue below the title.

But I can see the picture in your post copied from mine!

EDIT

Got it!

There must be something unusual in the *hyperlink (which doesn't even show in the other PC) as it wont open anything when I click it but will open the Facebook page into a new Browser tab or window.

Second EDIT

This is all I see in the original post:

The link isn’t a normal link, it’s an embedded Facebook post. Possibly that’s whats causing the problem

Just found out it's a function of Firefox to stop insecure sites.

Just been to a "demo" page where one item there doesn't show because it's a Facebook link.

I am in Salt Lake City right now. I am heading to the NMRA model train show in suburban Sandy, Utah right now. Here's a couple of pictures of Utah Transit Authority's(UTA) TRAX light rail train. The train is running down Main Street in Downtown Salt Lake City.

We also ride the S line that is a different type of tram and has its own platform at the junction with the standard light rail. A photo taken at the far end of the S line 20190710_161614.jpg.fe1c01b54ea11c25674e0548d336d471.jpg

Ian, I have ridden the S-Line streetcar before. Utah Transit Authority(UTA) is planning on extending the streetcar line soon.

We had a tour around on of the light rail facilities and they were mentioning numerous extensions proposed including eventually to Provo where the Front Runner goes to. Very impressive maintenance facilities

Ian, I have been to Junction City, Oregon before. It's a nice bedroom community near Eugene(the home of the University of Oregon).

We stayed in Eugene for the numerous breweries then in Corvallis to to meet up with a fellow rmwebbers brother for more beer. Street running  in Corvallis aswell but not seen trains actually running there on the few visits but did hear them at night.

Though you can't see them, you assume the rails are there:

Unlike here:

During major power cuts after an ice storm in Quebec in 1998, this locomotive was taken off the rails and driven on the street to the town hall in Boucherville to provide it with electricity.

I know this topic title is 'Street running in the USA or Canada', and the place in the picture below is not on either country. However, I didn't think it was worth starting a new topic for just one picture.

This is, apparently, the only stretch of street running in Australia:

Here's a couple of pictures of the Livonia, Avon, and Lakeville Railroad in Painted Post, New York. The train is running down West Chemung Street. Painted Post is about 100 miles(160 kilometers) south of Rochester via the Interstate 390(I-390) and Interstate 86(I-86) freeways.

More akin to the Wisbeach and Upwell or the Wantage Tramway here in the UK.

IIRC Some of the Oxford & Aylesbury Tramroad was a bit like that, as well as the Stratford & Moreton Tramway for some of it's route.

The Oxford and Aylesbury was separated from the highway by a fence or hedge. Another that wasn't separated was the Mumbles Railway.
