Here's a picture of a Conrail Shared Assets Operations and New Jersey Transit(NJ Transit) train in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. The CSAO train(lower train) is in CSX livery and is running down Delmorr Avenue. The NJ Transit train(upper train) is on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor trackage. Morrisville is across the Delaware River(Pennsylvania/New Jersey border) from Trenton, New Jersey.

Some 20 years ago I was working at the Boeing factory in Renton. Having only been in the country about 48 hours, it was my first shift at work on a dark snowy November morning when driving through Renton, and not really 100% sure where I was going, one of these BN beasts came rumbling down the street towards me. Talk about a wake -up call!!

Mind you, it did start my love of US railroads which continue to this day.

Nice pictures of Renton, Washington. I have driven through this Seattle suburb a lot of times over the years as a professional truck driver.

Here's a picture of a Union Pacific locomotive in Lodi, California. The locomotive is running light(without cars) down Lockeford Street at the intersection of Church Street. Lodi is about 35 miles(56 kilometers) south of Sacramento via the California State Route 99(SR-99 or CA-99) freeway.

I notice in the second of these two photos of 9989 (when it is running as a light engine) that there seems to be a hose trailing on the ground, which I assume it shouldn't be.  Great photos - thanks for sharing the links.

Are you sure it’s not the coupler trip-pin?

Nice picture!

But surely, a place like Lodi, CA should be full of grey and scarlet locos!?!

Cheers,

John.

Yes, John. Historically, the Southern Pacific ran in Lodi before the Union Pacific(UP) bought out the Espee.

Search didn't indicate that this location has been featured before, and I just posted some track plans of a freight shed that ran along this street in the other thread (*).

That first picture has been on here already:

Crazy situation here - Train has to observe road traffic lights, even pulling upgrade. Horn altercation with a truck also. Never seen anything like this before. The Norfolk Southern driver dithers a bit, misses a couple of very short timed green lights then sets off throwing out lit fireworks !! (fusees) but  a bit further on the CSX guy times it niceley and barges through !!

I have been in the Los Angeles area the last few days. Here are some pictures of Los Angeles. The LA Metro A Line(formerly Blue Line) light rail train is running down Washington Boulevard at the intersection of Central Avenue just south of Downtown Los Angeles.

Here are some pictures of Long Beach, California. The LA Metro A Line light rail train is running down its namesake boulevard at the intersection of the world renowned Pacific Coast Highway(California State Route 1). Long Beach is a large, beachfront suburb of Los Angeles.
