Small turntable far right, was it just for turning wagons or were they only small engines that worked this line - anyone know?

The 23'6" turntables at Yelverton and Princetown were provided for turning snowploughs. They were too short for the 4400 class locomotives which usually worked the branch.

RMweb Premium njee20 Posted August 27, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 27, 2021 I do like how they’ve used that fence line in the background to disguise the join with the back scene though. But maybe that’s why they’ve used a black and white photo.
Grizz
It’s amazing how much time it took to make the scenery in this diorama, especially the trees that hide the bottom of the back scene. However the finished job seems to work with the super detailed 47 and the faux Pullman MK2 brake. The natural light out in the garden and whips of smoke from the neighbour’s bonfire adds to the realism…..

flapland
Perhaps a bit too much white paint used for the water feature at the front, but the use of split wooden lolly sticks to make the headgear is very effective.
