Pufferman Posted April 24, 2012 Share Posted April 24, 2012 We are Pleased to annouce that we are holding a Diesel Gala on July 7th & 8th. Hampshire unit 1133 will be running in passenger service for the first time in about 3 years, it has been painstackingly overhauled and repaitned from its connex colours after taking part in the last thump in 2005. She will be joined with other Diesels in our fleet including Ruston Hornsby 0-6-0 diesel hydraulic 'Valiant' which was once a MoD loco and then before we bought it worked for Network Rail. Oh Hibard Plant is hoped to be used to give visitors a short cab ride, and another engine that hasnt been run on the railway since 2008 will be running in passenger service will be Andrew Barclay Diesel Mechanical 0-4-0. Trains will run for 10.30 till 17.00 Fares are £9 for Adults and £6 for Childern, aged 3-15, these tickets are all day tickets and give unlimited travel on the line and its intensive service.
