chaz
Thanks for posting them Chaz, lovely pics as always! This is definitely one of my all time favourite layouts, just so atmospheriic! Keith Thanks for the comment Keith, it's appreciated. Dock Green has no more outings this year but we have some invitations for 2018 for which I am busy trying to get operating teams together. I will post details on this topic, nearer the time. Nothing in S Wales I'm afraid.... Chaz
Markeg
What about Australia? Excellent modelling in 7mm. I am currently building on a Parkside SR Pill Box Brake van. So very good inspirational stuff. I model LNER mostly in OO. The O gauge/7mm bug seems to have caught on a bit here in Oz, especially with the r-t-r items from Dapol, Heljan and the rest. Since I built my 2.4m (8') x 450mm (1'6") layout I have seen at least 3 members of the Victorian BRMA (British Railway Modellers of Australia start small end to end layouts. Mark in OZ

chaz
The last two snaps from the Salisbury show. I have a lot of other photos taken at various shows such as this one. I could post a small selection, from time to time, if you would like to see some? Chaz

Can you suggest a good two day show that I might offer the layout to? Chaz Edited July 12, 2017 by chaz
sb67
There's the Mid Essex show at Shenfield which is always recommended http://offtherails.x10.mx/memrc/exhib.html#top but it's only 1 day. Romford and Southend can be pretty good as well but Southend always shares the hall with other hobbies. http://www.iwemrc.org.uk/exhibition.asp http://www.shoeburynessmrc.co.uk/2017-exhibits.html I'm sure there's more, I know there's show's in Chelmsford and Colchester but I've not been to them. Steve. Thanks for the list, it will be checked out, a good look at club websites will usually give an idea of the quality of a show. Shenfield is out, I'm afraid we wouldn't go that far for a one day show. Chaz

sb67
Here's a link to their website. It has always been a good show but I'm not sure when the last one was, I thinki they had trouble getting a venue. http://www.ehmrc.org.uk/about.html Steve.

chaz
This one has no great photographic merit and it's not the way Dock Green should be viewed (indeed it's not usually possible to get this view at a show) however it does show how the various "scenes" on the layout make up the whole. And as an antidote to that I choose a very tight view of a grubby corner. Chaz

RMweb Gold Donw Posted July 15, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 15, 2017 I think those shots of a line of wagons under the canopies takes some beating and the the fireescape with the clutter around. Magic stuff. Don
