Here are some piccies in my gallery: http://www.rmweb.co....ilway-pictures/ There's a couple of closed stations aswell, plus a few odds and ends. Edit: Some of the 'West Hampstead' shots are actually Kilburn. Thanks for that Del.

Here are some piccies in my gallery: Don't forget L50 was there as well! Bless her, I still remember the defiant thumbs down and shout of Booooo! when she caught sight of her first S stock set at Kilburn!
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted June 25, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 25, 2012 That faithful servant of Metroland, the A-stock, has not much time left for this world. At around 50 years young it is being replaced by the far less attractive S-stock at a rate of knots. Thanks for a pictorial record. I paid my own respects last month and found about half the service was still A-stock which seemed to be randomly spread across all but Chesham workings. All of the Chesham trains I saw were S-stock. RMweb Gold TravisM Posted June 26, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2012 Having driven all the A Stock except for the two written off sets, between 1979 and 1984, all I can say is the cabs were comfy but not cramped, decent sunshade unlike those on 72 tube stock and a joy to drive. Plus they entered service on my birthday, 12th June 1961 lol. Julian Sprott
