BobM
Continuing the 'tradition' of 'riding the cushions' of the SVR on New Year's Day.....took a ride 'down' to Bridgnorth, where 7812 'Erlestoke' was in the throws of disposal after being withdrawn yesterday......it was whilst watching this process that the sun broke through what had been a cold, raw. drizzly morning.....there was something quite 'magical' and 'special' about that light, as it seemed to be directed on 'Erlestoke'...... and seeing it remains the 'Festive Season'....you've just have to indulge a 'Pig in a Blanket'...... Happy New Year Guys.... Bob
Steamport Southport
It must be the worst availability for Manors since they were all restored. Only four currently operational. 7802, 7820, 7822, 7827 One under repair. 7828 One awaiting overhaul. 7812 The other three are on static display with no immediate prospect of a return to steam and are probably quite far down the queue. 7808, 7819, 7821 Jason

Much of the glamour of the larger versions, but fewer weight and clearance issues.
Garethp8873
Once again I've started back into the railway photography. Initially started at Bewdley but the sunlight was very intense. Headed over to Kidderminster and my luck changed. Was able to get a few shots of the BR Seacows, GWR 17410 and the Class 33... felt good to get back into the railway photography. Looking forward to seeing where 2018 will take the SVR... 12th February 2018 - Kidderminster

Clearwater
Hi Does anyone know how long 6023 will be staying at the SVR? I'm due in the Midlands in early April and hoping that serendipity will allow me to see her in steam on something longer than the GWS demo line! BobM
One more sleep until resumption of passenger services...... We saw schedule empty sock movements on 'The Valley' today in readiness for tomorrow...... 'The Pig' 43106 went south from Bridgnorth to Bewdley to overnight for the first northbound of Kidder in the morning, seen here passing through Arley as a I did a volunteer gardening stint on a rather pleasant late winter Friday afternoon.... soon after (possibly passing The Pig at Bewdley) class 50 033......took the empty Blood and Custards to Bridgnorth to work the first southbound Saturday morning.... won't sleep tonight...too excited...just akin to Christmas ! RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted February 16, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 16, 2018 6023 is booked at the moment to do a gauging run on the afternoon of the 24th February leaving Kidder at 4pm. It will be staying with us for a bit to do loaded ECS runs. As I understand it in exchange for those the loco will be in use on the railway beyond Spring Gala. However I do not know any dates and even if they have been set yet.

Liam
Was he bobby for the day Liam? Phil He was indeed Phil, if I wasn't for having to be in North Yorkshire I'd be there too. I'm guessing the photo was taken as KEII was heading back to Bridgnorth having run round at Highley because most token exchanges take place at the barrow crossing at the other end of the station. Wonder if Castle of this parish was on the footplate?
