RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted September 18, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 18, 2012 To mark the annual WYCRAIL model railway exhibition reaching its 40th year, the High Wycombe and District Model Railway Society have commissioned a 7 plank Private Owner coal wagon from West Wales Wagon Wagon Works in the livery of local coal and coke merchant G.E. Stevens. G.E.Stevens based in the centre of High Wycombe had three of their own wagons, although photographic evidence is extremely scarce the model, utilising the latest Dapol 9 foot wheelbase under frame and 7 plank body, is based on researched information and will be released as wagon No. 2. The model, priced at £14.50 will be available for purchase from the Societies stand at the WYCRAIL exhibition on Saturday 3rd November, from West Wales Wagon Wagon Works at the show, or direct from the Society via the website at www.hwdmrs.org.uk (post and packing charges will apply). This year’s WYCRAIL ’12 exhibition will be held at a brand new, bigger and brighter, venue: The Cressex Community School, Holmers Lane, High Wycombe, Bucks HP12 4UD on Saturday November 3rd.
