The latest Heritage Railway Magazine has an article about the Dean Forest/Flour Mill Gala in July. It says that L150 and Met 1 won't be there, as they are currently pencilled in for Steam On The Underground runs.

Steam On The Underground bookazine http://www.classicmagazines.co.uk/product/5487

London Underground is the world’s oldest subway system, and in celebrating the 150th anniversary of its first line in 2013 showed it’s still the best. What other major world city could boast Victorian wooden-bodied steam trains running alongside regular electric services on its underground network? Not only did it happen, but in the wake of the award-winning first venture, steam on London Underground has now become a regular annual event.

This lavishly illustrated publication tells the story of how heritage railways from across Britain completed ‘mission impossible’ – helping London Transport Museum return real fare-paying steam trains to the tube tunnels beneath the centre of the city.

Reading the preview on the Sainsburys website it features all SOTU events in 2013-2015.

Anybody seen it in a shop?

The latest Heritage Railway Magazine states that steam trains will operate between Ealing Broadway and High Street Kensington on the 9th and 10th July. The trains will be top and tailed by Met 1 and L150, with electric loco Sarah Siddons assisting. The coaches will be the Metropolitan coaches from the Bluebell Railway and London Transport Museum.

The last time steam ran into the District Line platforms at Ealing Broadway was 1993. Here is a video of Steam on the District 1993, that I found on Youtube
