It never stopped Peter Brough!

That's why he was a ventriloquist on the radio!

You mean something like this;

Apparently, a Duchess once did that trying to start a heavy train northwards at Kilmarnock station. It 'caught the water' and the driver could not shut the regulator. The engine slipped for 15 minutes without moving forwards.

I suppose it was a bit like The Clitheroe Kid.

Worked alright on the radio or on stage, but by the time he was on TV he was just a short, middle aged bloke dressed as a school kid.

Could have been worse, he might have encouraged the krankies!

Parcel Force living up to it's reputation as Parcelfarce:

Had something similar, sent to the next town delivery office about three miles from the correct one.  Instead of popping it in a van and taking it to the correct office, they sent it all the way back to the hub, resulting in a three day delay in delivery...

The problem that we get is that we have a Birmingham Postcode but aren't in Birmingham

Royal Mail & Parcelforce treat it differently.

Royal Mail deliver from a district office in Birmingham, Parcelforce is somewhere else.

I order something from Germany (this parcel), it comes via Parcelforce, if I order from China (AliExpress) it comes via Royal Mail & the local postie delivers it..........

Go figure!:jester:

A parcel from Germany a few years ago turned into a tug-o-war between the two resulting in a lost parcel and the seller had to claim for loss and supply me with a new order.

EDIT

Sure enough it is going back to the Hub!

Latest Info from Parcelfarce

"We are unable to locate your item" "We do not recognise that tracking number"

So two orders from the same retailer in Germany over a couple of years

And it looks like they have lost the second as well as the first.

What a total shambles.

EDIT

They seem to have found it again, still in the incorrect delivery office

EDIT 2 Now on the way back to the National hub (again):scratchhead:
