40568 is from the Alan Gibson kit but with a large dollop of scratchbuilding (frames, boiler, firebox, tablet catcher, etc). Nominal gauge is 18.83mm, which I generally find makes things easier. I found the BR black livery lining particularly hard to do, and I'm not entirely happy with the weathering. Still, the overall result is pleasing enough.

Lovely looking result! Isn't 40568 one of the S&DJR ones? And if so, is this a clue as to your modelling preferences? ;)

Oh, and like John E said - welcome to the forum! (we have a specialist S&DJR section as well).

Hi .... I am new to the group :-)))

Where can I locate the "S&DJR Section" mentioned above ????

I am trying to gather enough info to help me develop a layout based on the S&D .... probably based on Cole Station but not 100% certain yet.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Mike
