RMweb Premium uax6 Posted October 28, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 28, 2012 As I'm getting towards the end of my present build I'm looking for help with some of my next options. Has anyone got drawings for: MIDLAND D555 Bain square panelled 12 wheel diner? MIDLAND double ended brake composite (ex slip carriage?) L&Y dining car (the one thats not in Historic carriage Drawings (I think it was LMS 2nd number 82, my book is at home!)). Many thanks Andy G
RMweb Premium Barry O Posted November 4, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 4, 2012 Have you tried: http://www.lyrs.org.uk/lyr_modelling/index.html for L& Y and http://midlandrailwaysociety.org.uk/ for help with the Midland?
billbedford
Diagrams of the two midland carriages are in Lacey and Dow. There are a number of different L&Y diners, including a 10 wheeler, so you will have to be more specific.
RMweb Premium uax6 Posted November 7, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 7, 2012 Bill, Thanks for the info for the two MR carriages, I'll try and borrow a copy from the library. The L&Y diner is number 82, diagram 120. Thanks again Andy G
billbedford
The best I can come up with is a sketch in 'Lancashire & Yorkshire Passenger Stock' by Rush, published by Oakwood. There doesn't seem to be a drawing at the NRM. Maybe someone in the L&Y society could help?
RMweb Premium uax6 Posted November 19, 2012 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 19, 2012 Bill, That sketch <might> be enough to allow a compromise vehicle to be made. Im surprised that I haven't come across more L&Y drawings in the stack of Model Railway Constructors that I'm scanning at the minute.... Thanks for your help Andy G
