Some of my resprays

Recommended Posts

Hi Lee,

A nice selection of colourful liveries you have there. Are they for your layout or for other people? I've had a dabble with re-spraying but I dont have the patience.

Whats your method? Airbrush or cans?

Cheers

Scott

Hi mate, thanks for your kind comments, i usually only do them for myself, usually if a new livery comes out i like to have it done asap, then i usually sell the loco on for someone else to enjoy, a couple of the locos such as the BR Blue 47, West Coast 37 and GBRf class 20 i done for my wee cousin. I use an airbrush kit that i picked up from ebay for £60, cheap and cheerful and does the trick. :)

Hi all, another update, Arriva DVT is finished and just awaiting transfers which i have ordered from John Peck at Precision labels, given that the tranfers are £35, it didnt really justify it just for the 67 and DVT, so have decided to do 3 Mk3's to go with it, 2 standards and a 1st class buffet, 67 arrived yesterday morning and after a quick run at the club last night to make sure it was running etc it was stripped down and primered, fairly impressed with how easy it came apart. Masked off the yellow ends and detail as its the same colour anyway so cheated a bit there, primered it then have sprayed the orange tonight for the cant rail ready for masking tomorrow, hopefully get the main Blue colour on tomorrow and possibly the grey roof aswell if time allows. Also been doing a Warship for a mate into D832 ''Onslaught'' in BR Black which is once carried, so have added a oicture aswell, it just needs transfers to complete and rebuilt. Anyway, rambling on a bit here.

Ta for looking.

Hi all, another update, Arriva DVT is now finished and back together, as is the BR Black Warship. Class 67 has had the cantrail spreyed, masked and the blue coat is on, Grey roof will be done tonight, same with the coaches for it. Have also primered and sprayed the cantrail on a NR 950 that im doing as a donation for the Model Railway show at Falkirk on the 24th and 25th. And also started on a WCRC 33 for a mate.

Hi guys, another 4 locos been done this week, Bachmann class 47 changed from 47612 'TITAN' in Intercity livery, to 47643 in ScotRail livery, also 3 WCRC locos, a 33 as 025 (returned to the owner before i managed to get a picture) a 37 done from 37506 into 37516, and a 57 done from 57602 into 57601's new livery, yes i know its the wrong moulding with the grills etc but it was the owners choice.
