The three weathered POs

and two renumbered wagons...

These are whitemetal and very heavy but run very well. Could be ABS kits...

A few more bits of weathering

Two Hornby English Electric 350hp diesel shunters

669010875_Two08s(2).JPG.3450034aafaebe901503395d4e7f2530.JPG

based on a photo of two similar locos having a rest at Manvers Main while shunting..

and just to show the sides are different(!)

1369581978_Two08sotherside.JPG.2f395c7f7057ca7c2f1aa144d4155619.JPG

And a modified Airfix Brush Type 2 A1A A1A.. an almost new real one photographed at Darnall Shed

821441169_wentworthBrushType2.JPG.19fe633afb7d5198ad8dadc9da10d13e.JPG

One Shunter and the AIA are for Mike Edge for use on Wentworth Junction... the other EE shunter has travelled from Australia and is, of course a Western Region one.. thanks to @St Enodoc it is now "moved" to work in the Leeds London Road or Barnbow East Goods Yard.

and some more PO wagons..

Bullcroft (near Doncaster)  Remembered to add the end door stripe..

1935437825_DearneValley.JPG.b7f3a90278a50e5afb6b9916bdad236b.JPG

Dearne Valley  ( I have run out of "P" numbering decals but I will add these later)

1282867979_GrimsbyCoal.JPG.bcd74db2762e75ad7cebcf014555d0f9.JPG

This is very lightly weathered as it is really for her indoors.

All are Powsides/Slaters (pre-printed sides) with ink and powder added weathering,,,, and guess what.. no air brush used so I must be doing this wrong somewhere down the line..

If you use white ink (yes Windsor and Newton do bottles of it..) as base mixed with water, it can be used to represent china clay using Green Scenes "White" weathering powders..

599577066_ChinaClaysweathered1.jpg.c62e4e2ccc7b08cf8eec47631df8b83d.jpg

and if you add the powder to slightly "Wet" ink/water..

297950465_chinaclayinside.jpg.e7d2b8228f998be158525ef21bae9223.jpg

and you can use it as "limestone dust" on items like..

Covhop.jpg.c1642c52cc03ce03d635c022a9535981.jpg

this Bachmann Covhop.

I like that - good tip to try. Always felt my first effort (in 7mm) using enamels is probably a bit too uniform although the photos make it look worse than it is. I'll be doing a rake so one a bit too heavy won't matter.

Another two coke wagons have been bought and weathering has been added. Coke and rainwater soon got the metal hoppers fairly rusty.

used some Valejo powders on these...
