67A
Hi Andy & Jock, Pester Power eh! Okay you win I'll post some later. Just been to S&J Models in Northwich and then onto the Warrington show where a lovely Scottish themed layout 'CRINAN' was my favourite. I'll post a few of that later also.
67A
Hi guys, Still busy busy hence the absence. Black 5 45157 'Glasgow Highlander' is rushing the Hellifield breakdown crane north. Ex:LNER A1 60145 'St Mungo' hauls a rake of Eastern Region stock south to Leeds. BR Sulzer Type 2 D7667 has charge of a heavy oil train southbound. more to follow
67A
Some shots from the Warrington show today. These are from Rhyl & District MRC's layout 'Crinan' my favourite on the day. Edit to add. I asked if this was a 'out of the box' version but was told it was an old Airfix kit, so now I know what to get for my Dent signalbox coal supply! I really enjoyed this one! Jock67B
Hi Mike, Lovely images that have been sorely missed, even though I'm not sure about the strange blue box thingy on track in a couple of the pics! Great to have you back posting, thank you and, Kind regards, Jock.
67A
Hi all, I feel like a bus, you don't see me for ages and now two days in a row! Been in the den doing a bit of detailing.... Looks like there is a problem with the tractor! Drivers awaiting signals now have a means of contact There is a contact box at each of the ground signals other than the one directly adjacent to the box. The old ways are still alive and well at Dent! more to follow...
67A
A few general shots, and especially for Jock a Jubilee! Exiting Widdale Tunnel is Jubilee 45629 'Straits Settlements' with a Leeds-Carlisle Semi-fast. Trundling through Dentdale, almost all downhill from here. Stanier 8F 48732 takes a train of oil tanks from Grangemouth to Stanlow. The area around the box and bothy are now almost complete with coal bunker, toilet, telegraph pole, point rodding and fire buckets, last thing to do will be the cameo of a 16T mineral with dropped side door for the coal supply to the box etc. My mate John has just got me the Dapol kit from Hatton's which has a separate door - marvellous! The Jubilee and 8F pass in front of the box'. The 8F is facing a long downhill run to Settle with this heavy train. The Semi-fast heads for Rise Hill Tunnel, next stop Kirkby Stephen West. That's it for now guys. Edited October 18, 2015 by mike61680

67A
Hi Ben, We need to swap stock lists and we could set up certain trains to see the progress Ais Gill - Dent & Dent - Ais Gill, only problem being the time it would take could be days! RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted October 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 19, 2015 It just amazes me that anyone would want to look at bits of wood, bare track, glue and soldering irons..... when you can look at Dent!!! Looking as fab as ever, Mike! I will never match the standard you've set!! Jeff

67A
Oi! Jock's not the only one who likes Jubilees, yer know A quintessential S&C loco if ever there was one. The recent detailing is lifting the layout to another level - great stuff Hi Neil, Thanks Neil, I'll consider your feelings a little more next time, I do love my Jubilee's as 45629 was my very first number logged at Corkerhill shed c1963 ish. I can still remember seeing the shiny brass nameplate glistening in the poor light of the yard direct in front of me as I descended down some wooden steps through a hawthorn hedge. Magical! Who needs ecstasy?! Thanks for the comments, makes it all worthwhile.

Jock67B
Mike, As Robert said, the recently added detail has 'lifted the whole layout to a different level', and knowing you as I feel I do now, you will have many more surprises up your sleeve! Kind regards, Jock. Edited October 20, 2015 by Jock67B
ben pez
Weve got a few locos in common then mike We'll have to start a separate thread sometime, especially when the time comes when jeff's layout kl2 has become more nearer to complete. Not sure what to call the thread?... It may look very odd & train set looking when it comes to ais gill though and the track has switched to peco code 100! Ha ha. We just need to someone to model settle station & ribblehead viaduct now!! Cheers Ben
RMweb Premium Reorte Posted October 21, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) We just need to someone to model settle station & ribblehead viaduct now!! I seem to remember an N gauge Blea Moor layout around somewhere... If anyone has a mile long shed there's an RMWeb project, the complete Settle-Carlisle line! Perhaps that's just a little on the over-ambitious side. Edited October 21, 2015 by Reorte
67A
There is an 'OO' Blea Moor and a Kirkby Stephen West layout on the exhibition scene which leaves a few blanks en-route! Any takers?
RMweb Premium Reorte Posted October 21, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 21, 2015 Maybe I should've gone for Appleby instead of Kirkby Stephen. I don't have the space for Appleby but I don't have the space for Kirkby Stephen either, so that's OK.
