Hop Pickers Wanted, but not until September, when the hops will be ready for picking.   think the next building might be the pub as I owe the farmer a few pints for giving me the land to build the Oat House.

Some pictures of the finished Oast House.

Our local until we moved to France - taking the landlady and her hubby with us!

Hi Ian, thank you for putting the link up to the pub site, it is a great resource and one that I have spent many a happy hour revisiting pubs that I remember, it also gives a lot of background detail as well on the history of each one. All the best Adrian.

Very nice modelling there Adrian, hop picking sounds a fine way to spend a few weeks in September. My parents used to do that, who knows could have been near Westerham! Your modelling certainly gives the feel of the fine Kentish countryside.

Hi Adrian, seeing as we're reminiscing over Kentish Inns and the like, I couldn't help thinking of The White Heart in Newenden, probably the coziest pub we ever visited. Spent a couple of hours in there waiting for the AA one rainy Easter bank holiday Monday (over 30 years ago now). When I looked it up on Google Earth, there's an Oast house just like your model right behind it!

Regards Shaun.

P.S. Happy easter, don't over do it on the chocolate eggs etc.

Lovely pictures Adrian. I particularly like the 3rd and 6th ones.

I can't remember your track plan to place that scene relative to Westerham and Brasted. Do you have one you could share ?

What are you planning next ?

Hi Fishplate, sorry I don't have a trackplan but I will try to draw one up in the next week. Next on the list are a pub, cattle dock, barn, very low relief shed/barn, station building and the list goes on 🙂. All the best Adrian.

That'll be why I can't remember it . . . .

Look forward to seeing that. I'm sure others will also be interested.
