Well thought out again Adrian. The final finish is superb. 2
sb67
Great stuff with the trees Adrian, did you grow them indoors? I might have to sneak some of them in my partners seed list when she does it! 1
RMweb Gold westerhamstation Posted September 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 23, 2021 Hi Steve, I grew them outside under shelter in yoghurt pots, then when they could be handled i put them in some gravely compost in full sun watering them sparingly over the course of about 5months. I would think that you would be able to grow them in a window box. Coincidentally there is a bit about growing them on day 2 of skills week. All the best Monty Don. 3 1
sb67
Thanks Adrian, I'll have a look at that skills week bit. Def worth a try for a couple of quids worth of seeds. 1

RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted September 24, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 24, 2021 Fantastic looking trees. Gardening question: can these be grown any time of the year or is it during a particular season?
RMweb Gold Popular Post westerhamstation Posted September 24, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 24, 2021 (edited) Hi Colin, I planted them about March, I would think that that's about the right time to start them off as they need sunshine, they don't seem to like damp conditions. All the best from the team at Gardeners Question Time. And a picture of some new trees and bushes at Westerham. Calidore
Hi Adrian, the new greenery looks absolutely fantastic. It gives the scene great depth and density, and it was lovely to see those wider shots with the layout in all its glory. Grow-your-own is taking authenticity to new heights! RMweb Gold Popular Post westerhamstation Posted September 26, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted September 26, 2021 Out for a bit of a drive today and I found a nice little place to stop, just outside of Westerham Station, a country lane that provided a place to view the line into Westerham, what better place than this in the quite of the Kent countryside to stand and stare for a few moments and watch the goods train arrive. Time To Leave, All the Best Adrian. 30 4 9
MrWolf
Absolutely marvellous images, they put me in mind of all those black and white photos from the 50s. I never got to see if in real life, it was all gone long before I was born. 3 1 1

jcredfer
Good job you got those pictures back in 59..... you would have been up before the Beak if you had been down on those lines, these days. Stay safe, keep a good lookout when taking pictures these days... those boys in blue are never far away...... 1
MrWolf
It would be interesting to know how much money has been wasted on all that steel power station type fencing to keep thieves and idiots off the railway which could have been spent on improvements. Last time I had anything to do with it, it was around £100 per metre.
