Pacific231G
I saw a layout recently that used the Faller car system to run a waterline model of a paddle steamer and I'd think it would be accurate enough for operating train ferries/car floats. Though I don't really go along with Faller's assertion that "the fact is - the more movement there is on the layout the more appealing and exciting the whole thing is." I've seen some very good results with it when used realistically.
Giles
If the vehicles are as sympathetic as the railway stuff is - then yes....
HeatherKay
Very impressive, I have to say. However, the small scale doesn't do it any favours. A real bulldozer weighs several tens of tonnes, and you can't recreate that mass in the movement. Seeing the dozer and bucket zipping around, and bouncing about spoiled the illusion for me. I can see this kind of thing working well at 1/43 or larger, though - with many advantages of space for motors and electronics.
