My detailing/repainting projects

I guess it's about time to get the work done on these before one of the new kids on the block announces a new model! A pair of Hornby 31s.

I see this as a very good model, but inherently flawed. A very poor electrical pickup design, constant snapped bodyhole screw locating channels, and a lighting/electrical system that I can only presume was designed by the Italians.

These have been modded and repainted by Andrew Donnelly, my job is to fix all of the issues, and weather them.

Well. It's been a while.....quite frankly I gave up posting due to 0 discussion and response.

The new Heljan 56 has landed, and very nice it is too. Shout if you would like one.

They do look nice but even better when they have passed through your weathering department...👍

That’s the problem , is easy to fly on by with a “ like “ symbol but most people do t stop for more interaction. That’s what any new layout I won’t bother too much starting a thread .

Morning.  Another monster today in the shape of a class 37. Meet 37222. This is a full 'back to plastic' re-work of a Heljan centre headcode model. Bufferbeam skirts removed and re-built, new headcode marker panels, Western region original style lamp mounts removed from no 2 end, full repaint and weathering.

222 was one of only a handful of class 37s to retain it's bodyside boiler port door and steps.

Lee

Loco looks superb, is that the diorama that Simon recently made?

It really shows off the loco in another dimension although I did like when you photo'd them outside on the wall.
