Talltim
The P&LE wasn't huge, but it certainly wasn't a shortline. It lasted until 1993 as a standalone company, which was pretty good going. In it's heyday it hauled about 1% of the freight tonnage of the US

bxmoore
I've got two of these as well, and they're great. Adding the extra detail makes a huge difference, and as well as the grabs, SP train number boards, and on SP 1467, the class lights either side of the nose, I scratched two bells in their housings, atop the noses. SP 1828 was originally in UP colours, and also received a full re-spray and decals. Martyn Read kindly swapped out the truck frames on his freelanced loco, so that SP 1828 has the correct trucks for an SP S4 (different design on the Bachmann UP version). SP 1467 is detailed as above, and re-numbered to represent a locomotive that worked in an out of San Luis Obispo in 1954. Brian
