alibuchan
Hi guys, I'm trying to use shapeways for the first time, I have uploaded a couple of files to shapeways but they are missing bits off the picture that they show. Is this a normal thing? Will it still print the missing details that are in the stl but not on the website? Thanks for any help you can give. billbedford
It is common but not normal. It happens when some of the parts of piece are not properly attached. The file will be rejected as having too many shells. The way to deal with this is to go over you files an make sure that all the part at least touch or better overlap slightly and attach the errant parts. It is always a good idea to repair your file with Netfabb before up loading it.
SpoorObjecten
Yes make sure that all parts overlap so that our software automatically booleans the whole model. When "touching" you will get overlapping faces, which could cause our software to delete the part as you can't have 2 faces on the exact same XYZ mitch
