The track is c&l finescale oo concrete sleeper track, I think it's code 83 rail. Hope that helps!

RBE
Are those concrete sleepers? Im not sure that I would have done that colour if so. It works well for wooden sleepers (the points will be fine) but you really want something equating to dirty concrete for concrete sleepers.

Hi Cav, Yeah the points and the cement works track is wooden sleeper and the main lines are concrete. A good point you raise there, neither my dad or I had considered that. Following a conversation with my dad we have decided that we will probably go over the sleepers with concrete colour. Thanks for the feedback! RBE
No worries. Actually the brown will make a nice undercoat for the concrete creating lovely deep false shadow. I would just give the concrete portions a light coat of suede tan but allow colour variation due to the light coats provide weathered interest. You will of course need to paint the rail sides a suitable colour but easy enough done!

You will of course need to paint the rail sides a suitable colour but easy enough done! Yeah that's what I had thought about the brown making a nice base layer. I'm pretty sure we've got some left over suede tan from spraying the silos so that shouldn't be a problem. Ballasting and spraying will occur hopefully over the next few weeks time permitting. Southwich
Evening all, Hope everyone has had a good christmas! Christmas brought the arrival of three things for the layout, another lafarge cement tank, a ONE DVT and a laser cut frame for the warehouse: ONE DVT at New Southwich by southwichrailway, on Flickr ONE DVT at New Southwich by southwichrailway, on Flickr 60500 with 5 cement tanks at New Southwich by southwichrailway, on Flickr 60500 with 5 cement tanks at New Southwich by southwichrailway, on Flickr As can be seen the rails were maskoled, which was an interesting was to spend Christmas Day; masking and spraying my track! However the results are much better, which my dad and I are very pleased with. My dad will post the photos and an update shortly. Merry Christmas!
