ews60002
Here is a few of mine that I got this and last week on the Crewe IEMD depot. I believe there are 12 08's in total at the EMD depot. There is a line of other 08 with 08567 08706 08865 08757 08804 in the same line with 58048 90025 and 90031 for company, These can be seen through the builders yard next to the depot but not in anyway photographable. 08593 has a YKA wagon next to it and there is another 08 beyond it but wasn't going to risk getting seen to try and get a picture of it.
ews60002
Hi, Just a side-note, I last saw 08714 at Marcroft Stoke, at the head of a long line of wagons of which 1 had de-railed. It looks like it's been replaced by another 08. Mathew

escafeld
I've looked through the thread and seen that some photos have the 08 in the distance, so I've included some of mine, but I can delete them if not suitable. I have a lot more close-ups. 08492 reverses a rake of empties at Worksop on 26-Nov-1991. escafeld
I used my photo of 786 to prove a point that you can doctor a photo of a loco to show that it all isn't what it looks - A super Gronk! Edited June 18, 2014 by escafeld

I have a lot more close-ups. Regards Dave Close up views are always useful for someone looking to model a particular loco. I also enjoy shots with 08s less prominent in the picture especially if it records them going about the mundane work that they have usefully performed for decades, cheers
br2975
08752 "Lenny" - during the days when EWS / DB held the contract to shunt the Celsa (UK) Tremorfa & Castle Works in Cardiff. . The detail shots show parts of the warning lights and one of the emergency engine cut-out plungers fitted in connection with the Hima Sella remote control system. . The other close-up shows damage to the compressor cabinet. . The loco is also seen 'knocking out' the new scrap bay at Tremorfa on 6th March 2009. . br2975
The driver of 08854 "Bradshaw" (named after my good friend, the late Alan 'Bradshaw' Hill former Canton fitter) displays the Hima-Sella remote control system whilst shunting Allied Steel & Wire wagons at Channel Sidings and the Queen Alexandra Dock (north arm), Cardiff during April 2002. . The driver would stay with the loco here when using the R/C equipment, as when shunting onto the quayside the train would cross the road, and the loco would sometimes be a long way from the driver - and it is alleged that on occasions the loco would not respond due to the distance between loco and driver here, and, on at least one occasion a loco carried on and took the headshunt blocks out ! . All these sidings were torn up after Allied Steel & Wire went into receivership in July 2002. . Brian R

escafeld
I thought this paring at Bristol Temple Meads was hilarious. I just imagined the HST opening up to 125mph with bits of the 08 flying off in all directions. On 12-Sep-1987
