It had a fairly long association with Lincoln (or at least it felt like it - in actual fact, I think it was from Donny originally), so when it was withdrawn, it was bought by the City Council & 'stuffed & mounted' on a section of display track between the High Street signal box & (the then) Platform 5 of the station. An ex-BR Ruston 165DE - latterly Class 97/6 97650/PWM650 - was similarly treated outside the old steam shed at East Holmes. It stayed there for quite a while before being moved to the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway at Ludborough (albeit still owned by Lincoln City Council), where it's been restored to running condition (the Ruston ended-up there, too, I believe). Can you give any approximate indication of dates that it was on display please? Have family living near Ludborough and went to see the Lincs Wolds railway but it was shut on the day I went.
