davefrk
West Riding of Yorkshire, it's always raining.... Ilkley Moor ba tat and all that. Track weathering when all the ballasting is done will dry things out. Ammonia tankers are still being worked on, the saddle beams and end frame bolsters have been mastered and await putting in a mould. Still to do the filler cover, ladder and platform. Thanks for all the comments. Dave Franks.

RMweb Premium Popular Post HillsideDepot Posted June 18, 2017 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 18, 2017 The observant eye of Tom Curtis, my guest operator at Hucclecote Model Railway Show yesterday, spotted that the way the light was falling across my London Road Locomotive Sidings layout was offering some nice photographic opportunities. Recently renumbered class 47 no. 47262 arrives at the sidings having worked 3V17 vans from Weymouth while class 50 no. 402 seems to have been there since yesterday evening given its 1B89 reporting number. Or put another way, Tom's detailed and weathered Vi-Trains 47 sits next to my dirty Hornby 50 on my "oh no, not another diesel depot" mini-layout. The photo was taken on Tom's mobile phone.

vitalspark
Yep, only 0.63mm out.. That ballasting is rather good Mr F. Just needs a red carded (hot box) ammonia tank sat up against those stop blocks & you'd be sorted. Could almost be P4. P Nope it can't be because it runs faultlessly…only saying! Popular Post vitalspark
I see Porcy has answered your comment re the ammonia tankers so we'll leave it at that. As far as the pictures of kit or handmade track is concerned, is that not a model as much as a building, rolling stock, a loco etc? There are a few pictures on this thread showing trackwork, see post #4830 and some other pictures that feature a loco sitting on said track which has drawn comments. Some of us like to build railways from the ground up so that includes the track rather than using the ready to plant set track.... Dave. So this is excluded too I presume?
