This type of picture seems to suit monochrome better, gives it a pleasant grainy, washed out feel.

It's not finished yet and so I do intend to do something about that but finding a mirror that fits exactly will be nigh on impossible. It's not the arch that's the problem as it could go behind the bridge but it's getting one to fit the width of the canal that is essential. Ideally it ought to be fitted exactly under the arch so that the reflection doesn't make the bridge seem to be twice as wide as it really is.
