Signalman Fred Francis has pulled off the outer home in plenty of time to allow the next Up train to run unhindered straight into the station at Treneglos. He will want our photographer to get out of the six foot well before the train reaches the viaduct!

It's only York, if he doesn't get out of the way it's his own fault.

But then there's forms to fill in to explain why the train was late. :D

He probably shouldn't be, unless the up slow is speed restricted to less than 40mph which would be unusual.  And he can't open the throttle any more than keeping her going at 40mph until the rear of his train has cleared on to the up main; then he can work her up to line speed.

Its just left Warrington RMT which is the other side of the bridge so would only be at about 20 to 25mph at this stage and the crossovers are only a little further on.

Cant see a problem in opening up. Back end is clear of the points coming from the Royal Mail Terminal onto the up slow, and now opening up for the 40mph crossover.
