PGC
Earlier in the thread I posted some pictures of the Barking MRC layout, Clatterford. The club had another EM layout, Ashfield, and this picture shows my Brittania class 70054 Dornoch Firth on the gulley scene before it was completed. After I left the club, the scene was completed and the following pictures, taken by another club member, give an idea of the layout. Sadly, I believe the layout has now been sold to a private individual. Phil

Popular Post Mrkirtley800
A few more pics of Canal Road before it was demolished. The first is a NER (I am not completely biased) 0-6-2T, class U on a 'stopping goods' just reversed into the refuge siding to allow a faster train to pass. Loco is scratch built as is part of the train. The 25 ton bogie road van behind the engine was built by my wife many years ago. She said at the time, about railway modellers, "if you can't beat them, join them", and this was the result plus some rather nice trees. Then we have a NER class P2 ? (later LNER J26) on a train of hoppers approaching Haw Bank No2 tunnel. Again loco and train scratch built. At the time there were no NER hopper wagon kits available, so my mate and I built a fair few from scratch, then Slaters brought out kits for them. Typical!! Springs Canal to the far left. The third one is a quiet day with a horsebox and carriage truck in the end loading dock. With stable accommodation for five horses behind. PGC
Crew of the Duke Dog wait to pick P way gang ,spring of 1953. I just love the way you've added a photographic backscene, but you can't see the join, it all looks to flow from front to back and gives great depth. Really nicely modelled.
