Hi castle.

I know this is a bit flakey but I might be able to pop over tomorrow if that is ok? I cannot guarantee it right now but it would be nice to come plus I have a few things I need to take a closer look at sometime.

Hi castle

Sorry to do this at the last minute but I'm unavailable to come today as I've got a problem with my van an I better not attempt this long trip up from Newton abbot so I'm going to have to give it a miss!! I'm gutted sorry to give such late notice

Castle,

What a fantastic afternoon! Massive thanks to you and the team for your time and insight. I now have a raft of detail images of the interior of the coal stage for transfer to 4mm!

I'm certainly up for next time to see what progress has been made on your 'train set'.

Best wishes,

Andy.

Seconded! Thank you Castle and team for your time and the behind the scenes viewing. The commentary you were able to give us certainly helps bring things life and is way better than just wandering round looking at things.

May I also add my thanks this way to you and your assistants. I watched the pannier head for the ash pit and turned round to find you all walking off into the distance with Missy I believe so I never got to shake your hand(s).

A most enjoyable day, I learnt a lot and have many photo records for future use. Thanks too go to The Stationmaster for taking over in the signal box!

Thanks,

Tony

I know this is going to be another 'me too' post but I have to say that I had a really really great afternoon at Didcot.

I BIG thanks go to Castle and his band of budding weight lifters. It was apparent that these folk are extremely passionate about the place which is great to see. I would thoroughly recommend comming along to this next time, its well worth it. I am now seriously contemplating volunteering...

Photos to come once the camera has uploaded.

And well deserved, your two assistants did an excellent job with our little group and deserve a big round of thanks - as do you for organising the day.

Thanks again for organising such an enjoyable day... which was also incredibly educational especially in the area of boiler construction and repair, something I have been shamefully ignorant about; but based on todays tour my ignorance is a fair bit less!

Also the chance to see behind the scenes of the carriage storage shed was excellent, your team are a real credit to an excellent place.

I tried to find you around 4.45pm to say thank you for a great afternoon, but failed! So thanks again for a very friendly and informative tour.

I hope to be able to get there more often in the future.

Best Regards

Dave Bowden
